KEEPCARING at the health.tech global summit

Keepc-AI-ring: Futureproofing Health and Care Systems Safeguarding Health Care Workers in Hospital Settings

health.tech | global summit, 3-5 March 2026, Messe Basel

Hosted in the heart of Europe’s health and life sciences hub, health.tech global summit will bring together the full force of the healthcare ecosystem to Messe Basel, from startups and hospitals to pharma, investors, and policymakers. Powered by a new collaboration between Bits & Pretzels and MCH Group, this is a bold leap forward — built to confront healthcare’s most urgent challenges and accelerate the solutions that deliver better care outcomes.

The keynote “Keepc-AI-ring: Futureproofing Health and Care Systems Safeguarding Health Care Workers in Hospital Settings”, by Professor Marlies Schijven will spotlight the KEEPCARING project, a Horizon Europe-funded initiative focused on strengthening the well-being and resilience of surgical teams through responsible, human-centred technology. KEEPCARING explores how AI-supported technologies can be used not only for automation, but to understand and support clinicians’ mental states and teamwork in real clinical environments. By combining data from sensors, wearables, and operating room recordings, AI enables adaptive interventions such as biometric-guided relaxation and evidence-based team debriefing. Integrated into an AI-driven Change Management Platform, these insights aim to enhance psychological safety, reduce occupational stress, and improve retention – while preserving trust, privacy, and ethical standards.
